During the first half of 2017 Exxaro recorded an LTIFR of 0,16 (1H16: 0,08) against a target of 0,11.
Regrettably, an employee at Matla Mine 2 in Mpumalanga, Mr Sibongiseni Sihle Majozi, was fatally injured on 1 March 2017 following an underground accident.
